The relationship Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler formed while pushing the Timberwolves to a short-lived playoff run seems to have been destroyed as Butler feels as though Towns’ attitude is too “non-chalant.” The broken relationship between the two might be the reason that an eventual breakup happens, while reports have already surfaced that Butler and Kyrie Irving would like to team up together in the East.
Last season, Butler averaged 22.2 points and 4.9 assists while shooting 47% from the floor wearing a Timberwolves’ jersey. The Timberwolves would have a huge loss in production if they end up losing Butler, which would severally hurt their chances of making the playoffs in the future.

The Timberwolves will likely try to talk to both Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler to attempt to repair a damaged relationship in hopes of keeping their core together.
