Reports: Markelle Fultz no longer in the 76ers’ long-term plans, may be moved soon

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Markelle Fultz may not be in the 76ers’ long-term plans and the team may look to move him sometime soon.

Fultz has struggled with shooting issues since he entered the league in the 2017-2018 season, issues which he claims are due to shoulder injuries among other things. In the last few weeks, rumors have seemingly been circulating around the league about the possibility of the 76ers moving on from the sophomore guard.

While the 76ers may want to move him quickly, his trade value is reportedly dropping day by day. Markelle’s agent insists that he has not requested to have a fresh start with a new team and remains commited to the franchise.

According to Fultz’s agent, he will be visiting with a shoulder specialist within the week to look further into his issues which keep him from preforming at his best on the court.

Clippers defeat Grizzlies 112-107 in Overtime

Late Friday night, the Clippers defeated the Grizzlies 112-107 in overtime during a western-conference duel.

Game Recap:

During the first quarter, both teams traded made baskets and the game was seemingly looking to be a good one down the stretch. Going into the locker room at the half , the Grizzlies led 52-44 thanks to a strong push during the second quarter in which the Grizzlies went on a 13-5 run during the last 3:41 of the half.

The third quarter belonged to the Clippers and gave them the chance to get back in the game. The team shot very well and outscored the Grizzlies 31-18 to give them the 75-70 advantage going into the final period of play. The Grizzlies were, however, able to muster enough strength to fight their way back into the game and chipped away at the Clippers’ lead. They eventually regained the lead and led by three with 3.0 seconds left on the clock. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, Marc Gasol fouled Danilo Gallinari at the three-point line and gave the Clippers a chance to send the game to overtime. Gallinari ended up making all three of the free throws and sending the game to overtime where the Clippers would eventually use the newly-gained momentum to defeat the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies were without Mike Conley during overtime because he fouled out late in the fourth quarter.

Reports: John Wall and Scott Brooks engage in “heated” verbal exchange during high intensity practice

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, All-star point guard John Wall and Washington Wizards’ Head Coach Scott Brooks reportedly engaged in a heated verbal exchange which led to Wall cursing and arguing with Brooks.

The altercation reportedly happened during a practice earlier in the week in which coach Brooks had questioned the team’s effort and was asking the team to raise their level of intensity. Wall reportedly took offense to the questioning and told Brooks “F— you.”

The Wizards organization has fined Wall and seems to be attempting to put this all behind them. This news comes on the heels of the team announcing earlier in the day that Wall and Beal would be “available” on the trade block. The team seems to be imploding and the organization looks eager to end the toxic situation, whether that means just a simple fine or a blockbuster trade, only time will tell.
