According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, emerging Grizzlies’ star Jaren Jackson Jr. has suffered a right quad injury, per league sources.
The emerging franchise cornerstone was blossoming into a successful player with the Grizzlies averaging 13.8 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game and 1.4 blocks per game through 58 games.
With the Grizzlies playoff chances very slim, the organization will likely handle their young star with extreme caution. Currently, Jackson Jr. is listed as “out indefinitely” and the team has not released a statement further regarding the injury.
