According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Chicago Bulls are officially shutting down forward Lauri Markkanen for the season. The team reportedly decided to shut the young star down after he experienced “extreme fatigue” after Tuesday night’s game versus the Toronto Raptors. League sources also reported that Markkanen stayed in Toronto overnight to be evaluated by team doctors and physicians from a local hospital. When asked about Markkanen’s fatigue, Bulls’ HC Jim Boylen told media that the second-year player was “feeling a little sluggish” after several hard practices had caught up with him.
