Going into this series, many analysts had raised questions about whether or not the Denver Nuggets were ready to become playoff contenders. Last night’s game did not go as planned for the Denver Nuggets. The game was a thriller, with stars from both teams battling it out on the court. The Spurs’ DeRozan and White led the way for the legendary franchise, with the pair scoring 18 and 16 respectively. Other Spurs’ players, such as Rudy Gay, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Bryn Forbes, provided a much needed boost from the bench and, ultimately, helped the Spurs capture Game 1 in Denver. As for the Nuggets, guards Gary Harris and Jamaal Murray led the way in scoring as superstar center Nikola Jokic owned the paint, finishing with a triple-double. In the end, the past playoff experience of the Spurs helped them steal Game 1 from the two-seeded Denver Nuggets on the road.
Final: Spurs 101, Nuggets 96
