According to Shams Charania of the Athletic, the Phoenix Suns are shutting star guard Devin Booker down for the season. After suffering an ankle sprain late in the season, the Suns decided it was better to sit Booker during the final 3 games of the schedule rather than run the risk of having him re-injure the ankle. Booker had been on an incredible scoring run up until the team decided to shut him down. The young star had scored 59, 50, and 48 points in three of the last five games the Suns played.
The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly finalizing a deal with talented big-man Alex Lin. The news was broke by Yahoo Sports after a person familiar with the situation told the media company. Last season, Len averaged 8.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, and 1.2 assists per game while playing in a Phoenix Suns’ jersey. The deal the two sides reportedly discussed is worth $8.5 million in exchange for two years of the center’s services.
The Phoenix Suns and their star guard Devin Booker have began discussing a possible maximum contract extension reportedly worth around $158 million.

Last year, Booker averaged 24.9 points and 4.7 assists while shooting 42% from the field. Booker has been an essential piece in the long-term plan to rebuild the Suns and with the announcement of the two parties talking about a long-term contract, it looks like he will continue to take on that role.
Sources: Suns owner Robert Sarver and GM Ryan McDonough are meeting with star guard Devin Booker and his agent Leon Rose to present the framework of his rookie extension contract offer on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Booker is a strong candidate for a max deal.
