Reports: John Wall and Scott Brooks engage in “heated” verbal exchange during high intensity practice
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, All-star point guard John Wall and Washington Wizards’ Head Coach Scott Brooks reportedly engaged in a heated verbal exchange which led to Wall cursing and arguing with Brooks.
The altercation reportedly happened during a practice earlier in the week in which coach Brooks had questioned the team’s effort and was asking the team to raise their level of intensity. Wall reportedly took offense to the questioning and told Brooks “F— you.”
The Wizards organization has fined Wall and seems to be attempting to put this all behind them. This news comes on the heels of the team announcing earlier in the day that Wall and Beal would be “available” on the trade block. The team seems to be imploding and the organization looks eager to end the toxic situation, whether that means just a simple fine or a blockbuster trade, only time will tell.
